26 x 20ft ISO Tanks
Lysander Shipping have recently completed a complex shipment of diesel oil from Sohar to Uzbekistan.
The shipment consisted of 600 tonnes of diesel oil in 26 x 20ft ISO tanks.
However, as we know in shipping, the path does not always run smoothly! Lysander had to lease the 26 x specialised tanks in Antwerp and reposition these empty to Sohar, as there were no suitable tanks and equipment in Oman.
Lysander organised the complete logistics offloading the diesel oil into the tanks from the terminal in Sohar. The full tanks were then loaded onto container vessel and the complex routing to Uzbekistan began….Taking the cargo from Oman to Mersin and Mersin to Poti via feeder vessel. From Poti to Baku via rail wagons, Baku to Turkmenbashi via ferry, and finally from Turkmenbashi to Qarshi project site, Uzbekistan in convey by truck.
The diesel oil was delivered safely and the empty tanks returned to Antwerp for off hire, in safe condition and on time.
